The First Thing You Should Do After a Car Accident

I’m going to give you some information about the first thing you should do after you’re involved in an accident. Now since you’re watching this video I assume you are not still at the accident scene and that you’re home safely recovering, but it is very important after an accident here in Florida to go see a doctor within the first 14 days and the sooner the better.

If you don’t see a doctor within the first 14 days you lose your right to use your PIP benefits. Those are your Personal Injury Protection benefits on your own car policy. In Florida the first $10,000 of your medical bills are paid through your own car insurance and if you don’t go to the doctor within the first 14 days you can’t use that so it’s very important that you go as soon as possible after an accident.

Even if you don’t think you’re that injured it’s good to get checked out to make sure because sometimes you don’t feel those injuries for several days after an accident so I hope this information was useful. Remember see a doctor after an accident and hope you’re doing okay. Thank you.
