If you are involved in an accident here in Florida, one of the most important things you can do after the accident is go to the doctor to get looked at, and get treated if you’re injured. In Florida, it’s a no-fault state and you have PIP insurance, which is personal injury protection, and that insurance covers your medical bills up to $10,000.

However, if you don’t go to a doctor in the first 14 days after the accident, that insurance is not available to you and you won’t be able to use your insurance to go to the doctor.

So, it’s very important that if you’re in an accident, go get treated, make sure you’re okay, and make sure that you solidify the use of your PIP insurance by going to the doctor.
