Many people come in for a consultation and ask “how long will it take to resolve my injury claim?”

The short answer is there is no exact amount of time that it takes to resolve an injury claim. It’s all based upon what your injuries are, how much insurance there is, and some other factors as well.

When you come into Zweben Law Group to discuss your injury claim we will need to know what your injuries are to adequately evaluate the value of your claim. In order to do that you will need to go to the doctor, treat, and find out what your injuries actually are as well as your prognosis.

Are you going to need some conservative therapy, possibly surgery, or maybe something in between? There’s a lot of things that come into play when determining the value of the case and we need to know what that is before making a demand to the insurance company.

Once you’re done treating we have an idea of what your future outlook is in terms of your medical condition and we can make a demand to the insurance company. Typically, we can get the case resolved at that time. If we can’t then we may have to file a lawsuit and it could take a lot longer. Generally, once we make the demand there are some negotiations that go on, and then we can get the case resolved.
